(100% Natalie-Portman.net) - Rumors are already out on who will play Anakin Skywalker (a.k.a. Darth Vader), opposite Natalie Portman, in the next installment of Star Wars; Episode II. There are reports that Leonardo DiCaprio was invited to George Lucas' ranch in talks of being the next Anakin. This was followed shortly by rumors that Jason Van Der Beek (Dawson Creek) was being considered. The latest word on the street is that Ryan Phillippe (Cruel Intentions) is now the chosen one. Whatever the case, George Lucas has until next year to make the final decision as filming begins the summer of 2000. Lucas has stated that Episode II is supposed to be a more romantic film as Queen Amidala and Anikan fall in love.
